Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in alignment with the plan of care under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders and facility policy.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs, assess changes, and document findings; report significant changes promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living, basic procedures within scope, and ongoing resident comfort and safety.
- Document assessments, interventions, and resident responses; participate in care planning and interdisciplinary communication.
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and quality of life for residents in a fast-paced LTC setting.
Requirements
- Active LPN license (state of New Mexico) or license-eligible for NM
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
- Ability to work the 12-hour shift schedule and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work effectively in a team
- Prefer prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings
