Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, treatment and discharge for patients from newborns to geriatrics
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor patient status, administer medications and manage basic ED procedures
- Collaborate with CNAs and other ED team members; document care accurately and communicate clearly with physicians and ancillary staff
- Maintain patient safety, pain management, infection control, and patient and family education throughout ED encounters
- Support patient flow and rapid escalation of deteriorating conditions as needed
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (as applicable for this assignment)
- ER/acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced ED environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; proficient in documentation and patient safety
- Flexibility to adapt to a travel assignment and a hospital-based ED setting
