Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) – Hermiston, Oregon, United States. Travel assignment starting 06/15/2026 for 13 weeks. 40 hours per week guaranteed. Shift: 5x8 Days. Responsibilities
- Function as scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment needed for the procedure
- Prepare and organize sterile instruments and supplies; maintain an organized sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team
- Provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team, assist with placement of sterile drapes, and manage instrument counts with RN circulation as applicable
- Ensure sterility of the field, take corrective actions to maintain asepsis, and assist with preparation of sterile dressings
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing, transport to decontamination, and assist with room turnover after procedures
- Participate in ongoing education and competency activities applicable to scrub duties; support privacy and confidentiality of patient information
- Stay compliant with program requirements (including DNV education as applicable) and be prepared to float to other departments where qualified, as needed
Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
- Licenses/certifications: BLS required
- Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Training: CRASE training may be required if travel extends beyond 6 months
- Experience: Relevant experience as a scrub tech in operative/invasive procedures is preferred
- Skills: Ability to work effectively in a sterile environment, follow sterility protocols, and support surgical team workflow
