Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse – Oncology, Travel assignment in Geneva, New York. Start date 05/25/2026 for a 14-week contract. Weekly pay: $1,929-$2,010 per week. Shift: 3x12 rotating (day/night) with on-call shifts. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital on the 3 North Med/Surg unit with oncology focus. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with medical conditions on the 3 North Med/Surg unit
- Assess patient and family needs; develop and adjust an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and promptly address adverse events
- Monitor patient progress, document care in the electronic health record, and uphold infection prevention and safety standards
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge self-care to support recovery at home
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to ensure timely, high-quality care and smooth patient transitions
Requirements
- Current New York RN license
- BLS and ACLS (AHA or RQI), NIHSS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced short-term acute care setting
- Oncology-focused Med/Surg nursing experience preferred but not required
