Registered Nurse – Critical Care/CCU Float Pool

Start date: 08/04/2026 | Duration: 8 weeks | Weekly pay: $2,017-$2,118 per week | Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
This travel temporary assignment is in a hospital setting and uses a float pool model across acute ICU/critical care units with potential cross‑coverage as needed. The role requires flexibility to float to multiple units and to cover scheduling holes as assigned. EMR is Cerner.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct bedside nursing care for adult patients in a high-acuity, critical care environment as part of a float pool.
- Monitor hemodynamics, support ventilated patients, administer medications, and manage IVs/lines per physician orders.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, respond to changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Document assessments, treatments, and care plans in the Cerner EMR; communicate clearly during handoffs.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members to coordinate care across units as needed.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and clinical policies; participate in ongoing quality and patient safety initiatives.
- Demonstrate flexibility to float to multiple units and adapt to varying patient acuity and staffing needs.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Jersey or a Compact license required at submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2+ years of current ICU and MST experience
- Cerner EMR experience or familiarity
- Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue scrubs
- Ability to work in a float pool and cover schedule holes; every other weekend and every other holiday required
