Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Amsterdam, NY, starting May 18, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $1,790 to $1,907 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med Surg patients, including ongoing assessment, care planning, and evaluation of outcomes
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, manage IV therapy, and assist with wound care and other procedures
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret alarms, and perform BLS/ACLS as needed or required by policy
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and other team members to coordinate care and plan for discharge
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient education in the electronic health record, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience, renewals preferred
- Ability to work the 3x12 night shift schedule for a 13-week travel assignment
- Eligibility to work in the United States and to practice in the stated location without local restrictions
Education
- Nursing degree and active RN licensure as required for practice in New York State
