Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, following an established plan of care.
- Perform patient evaluations and implement or modify therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ROM, and functional mobility activities.
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and the care team.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, safety strategies, and device use as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care transitions.
Requirements
- Eligible to participate in a travel assignment in the United States; ability to travel to and work in the Hayward, CA area.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift in a skilled nursing facility/home health environment as part of a travel team.
- Ability to implement and document treatment plans under supervision and to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Strong clinical skills in PT assistant scope, with a focus on patient safety, infection control, and professional clinical judgment.
