Responsibilities
- Provide basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients in a home hospice setting.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies per physician orders and department policies.
- Monitor patient status and responses; adjust therapies as needed and escalate to the physician when required.
- Complete documentation, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient.
- Work with minimal supervision; supervise others as delegated.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.
Requirements
- Experience delivering respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients.
- Ability to work nights on a 12-hour shift (3x12) and adapt to a home-based care environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation of care and charges.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a care team.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with supervision as delegated and to follow department policies.
