Radiology Technologist (Radiology Tech) – Travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii
Start date: 06/08/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,940 – $2,027 per week | Shift: Days with rotating call (average 3 days per month) | Setting: Hospital imaging department
This travel opportunity requires an active Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT certification in Radiography, and BLS certification. The selected traveler will independently operate radiographic equipment, including DR fixed systems, DR fluoroscopy, C-arms, and portable DR units, while maintaining imaging quality and patient safety. A dosimetry badge is required. On island onboarding and HR/EH clearance appointments are part of the process.

Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic exams per physician orders and department protocols, ensuring proper technique and image quality.
- Operate DR fixed equipment, DR fluoroscopy, C-arm systems, and portable DR units; maintain equipment readiness and safety standards.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles, use dosimetry badge, and apply ALARA practices in all procedures.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EPIC EMR; verify orders and maintain proper patient identification and shielding.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and fellow technologists to ensure timely, accurate imaging and appropriate patient care.
- Complete on-island onboarding and HR/EH clearance activities prior to start and comply with all site-specific policies.
Requirements
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license (active) prior to start
- ARRT (Radiography) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of independent Radiologic Technologist experience
- Proficiency with radiographic equipment: DR fixed, DR fluoroscopy, C-arms, portable DR; dosimeter badge on file
- Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred; experience with Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, Philips Fluoro, and Konica DR is a plus
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department setting; must arrive on the island in time for HR/EH clearance and start on 06/08/2026
