Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER, Lincoln, Maine, United States. Start date 04/27/2026. 13-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.). Setting: hospital emergency department. Weekly pay ranges from $1,966 to $2,094 per week. Education: BSN preferred. Licensing: active Maine RN license or compact license required.

Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments in the ED and reassess as needed.
- Develop and implement plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders; execute appropriate nursing actions to achieve goals.
- Administer medications using the five rights, monitor patient responses, and document findings in accordance with policy.
- Communicate patient status and care plans effectively to the health care team; participate in bedside rounding and MDT discussions.
- Assist with discharge planning, patient/family education, and follow-up calls as indicated; ensure understanding of the plan of care.
- Maintain a safe patient environment, manage supplies and equipment, and participate in quality improvement and disaster preparedness activities.
Requirements
- Active Maine nursing license or compact state license.
- BSN preferred.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Immunizations: varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer or declination; declination allowed), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, PPD 2-step or titer within past 12 months; flu shot required during flu season.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ER setting; strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Physical requirements: standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and frequent movement as part of patient care; visual and hearing acuity adequate for patient assessment.
- Prior ER or acute-care nursing experience is preferred.
