Responsibilities
- Design and administer occupational therapy treatment programs to increase residents’ functioning and independence.
- Use therapeutic exercises and activities to improve or maintain strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination.
- Design and fabricate splints as prescribed by doctors’ prescriptions.
- Maintain timely and accurate patient records and reports.
- Supervise Assistant/Aide staff as guided by governing board; collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
- Coordinate with the care team and be willing to float between locations as needed to meet resident needs.
Requirements
- MO State License – Occupational Therapist (active and in good standing) – required.
- 2 years of OT experience; LTC or SNF experience required.
- Ability to design, implement, and document OT treatment plans; experience with splint fabrication preferred.
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and to float between multiple locations as needed.
- No weekend requirements and no on-call obligations.
