Licensed Practical Nurse (Long-Term Care) traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico. This temporary assignment is placed in a skilled nursing facility setting. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents according to the plan of care and physician orders
- Monitor and document vital signs, assessments, and changes in clinical status; report significant findings promptly
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and facility policy, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, CNAs, and other staff, to coordinate care
- Maintain infection prevention, safety standards, and regulatory compliance; ensure a safe, clean environment
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and communicate concerns to the supervising nurse
Requirements
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligible for regional licensure as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education: Diploma from an approved practical nursing program
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary care environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow care plans and maintain resident dignity and safety
