Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for residents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
- Communicate significant changes in resident condition promptly to physicians and families
- Complete applicable resident assessments and thorough charting to maintain accurate records
- Administer medications following the five rights and facility policies
- Perform wound care and assessments as needed; assist with care planning and ongoing monitoring
- Support CNAs by answering call lights and assisting with on-floor coverage; lead as needed during emergencies
- Report any allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Maintain professional boundaries and collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes
Requirements
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license active and in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Education: two-year nursing degree required; BSN preferred
- Experience: 1+ years of related work experience preferred
- Ability to work in a travel assignment and in a long-term care setting
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
