Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients in a PCU/IMCU environment, with a focus on monitoring and improving clinical status.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed, including heparin drips per protocol.
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and other members of the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond to changes in patient condition promptly, escalating as needed to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Support patient and family needs, including education and discharge planning as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific or multi-state/compact) suitable for Georgia placement.
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU or related critical care experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN).
- Ability to work a night shift in a fast-paced hospital environment and follow unit protocols.
- Willingness to work in an inpatient setting with relevant unit-specific procedures and guidelines.
