Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date: 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,051–$2,121. Guaranteed hours: 432. Shift: 6x12 Nights. Setting: a critical access hospital providing acute care across a full spectrum of emergency services.

Responsibilities
- Conduct patient triage, initial assessment, and ongoing bedside care for Emergency Department patients
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments per physician orders; perform wound care and splinting as needed
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses; adjust interventions based on clinical changes
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and responses in the EHR or paper charts as required
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff; participate in rapid response and code blue events
- Provide patient and family education, advocacy, and ensure rights and dignity throughout care
- Maintain infection control practices and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support the hospital mission and be prepared to float to other departments as needed, with supervision by core staff
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Oregon RN license; ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience: None required; previous clinical experience preferred
- CRASE training: If travel assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required
- Skills/Abilities: Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, excellent communication, ability to work under pressure, and ability to work in a fast-paced ER setting
- Physical/Environmental: Ability to meet the physical demands of a 12-hour night shift in an emergency department and to handle exposure to infectious diseases and high-stress situations
