Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the anesthesiology team during operative procedures
- Coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff in the operating room
- Maintain patient safety and monitor perioperative care throughout the procedure
- Participate in preoperative planning, patient assessment, and nursing treatment
- Ensure sterile technique, accurate instrument counts, and proper positioning
- Document perioperative events and communicate promptly with the surgical team and PACU staff
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Perioperative/OR nursing experience or demonstrated strong interest in surgical care
- Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment with rotating shifts
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for high-stakes surgical settings
- Willingness to complete required credentialing and onboarding processes for travel assignments
