Responsibilities
- Conduct initial OT evaluations and periodic reassessments for adults in an acute rehab environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on activities of daily living, mobility, cognitive skills, and functional independence.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions using evidence-based approaches; monitor progress and adjust goals as needed.
- Document patient status, goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (e.g., physical therapy, speech-language pathology, nursing, physicians) to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, fall prevention, and adaptive equipment as appropriate for discharge planning.
Requirements
- Current occupational therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure per state regulations
- Ability to participate in onboarding and credentialing processes (onboarding is 4 weeks)
- Willingness to undertake a 13-week travel assignment and to work a Monday–Friday schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document clearly and collaborate across disciplines
- Capability to work effectively in a long-term care / acute rehab setting
