Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse – Oncology, based in Cumming, GA, starting 07/12/2026 for a travel temporary assignment of 13 weeks minimum. Weekly pay ranges from $1,595 to $1,653, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 12-hour Nights (2x3 schedule), 1900–0730. The role is in a 34-bed acute care unit with telemetry capabilities, handling a mix of GI/COVID Medical/Surgical patients. You’ll join a hospital-setting team delivering specialized oncology nursing care within this unit, using standard systems for medication administration and patient communication.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients within a GI/COVID Medical/Surgical unit that uses telemetry
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses, including IV therapies and infusions as indicated
- Assess patient condition, interpret telemetry data, and escalate changes to the care team promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Document care in the electronic health record (Cerner) and support secure, accurate medication distribution (Accudose)
- Practice SBAR-based handoffs and maintain rigorous infection control and patient safety standards
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning as appropriate
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of oncology specialty experience
- AHA BLS certification required; NIH certification required
- ACLS preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730) in a 34-bed unit with telemetry
- Eligible to perform duties in an acute care setting and collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
