Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic (X-ray) and computed tomography (CT) equipment and perform examinations within scope of practice
- Maintain competency by performing at least two imaging modalities regularly
- Safely transport and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs
- Test defibrillator and verify the crash cart is ready for use
- Safely prepare and manage contrast agents for imaging procedures
- Collaborate with the radiology team to meet departmental goals and ensure patient safety
Requirements
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice (California)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required
- ARRT-R certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from an approved vendor per policy
- Education: Associate’s Degree in radiologic technology required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred; Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience: Three years’ technical imaging experience preferred
- Must be able to work in a hospital setting and meet vaccination requirements (per organizational policy)
- Must be certified in two additional advanced modalities (CT, Mammography, MRI, or Sonography) preferred
