Histology Tech (Histotechnologist) – Travel assignment in a hospital setting located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, United States. Start date: 05/11/2026 for a 12-week assignment. Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Day shift schedule (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday. Weekly pay range: $1,348–$1,415. Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, embed, and section tissue specimens for histology
- Perform routine and special stains, quality control of stains, and cover slipping
- Maintain accurate specimen tracking, labeling, and documentation throughout processing
- Operate and monitor histology instruments, perform routine quality checks, and assist with minor troubleshooting
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements; assist pathologists as needed
Requirements
- Certification: ASCP HT or HTL required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a pathology laboratory; at least 2 years in histology
- Screening: Color acuity screening test required
- Schedule: Ability to work a day shift (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) Monday–Friday
- Work setting: Ability to work effectively in a hospital/lab environment with attention to detail and good dexterity
- Additional: Strong written and oral communication skills
