Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job
Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care is needed for a travel assignment in Waterloo, New York. This 14-week temporary position starts 06/23/2026 and follows a 5x8 Nights shift. Weekly pay ranges from $1,345 to $1,362 per week. Guaranteed hours are 0. The role is in a Skilled Nursing Facility and requires NY LPN licensure and BLS certification. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care for adult and geriatric residents, applying nursing practice standards and collaborating with the care team.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents under RN supervision.
- Collect ongoing data on residents’ physical and psychosocial status; communicate findings to the RN and the interdisciplinary team.
- Develop and revise resident care plans with nursing diagnoses and interventions, involving residents and families to achieve outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor responses and report changes to the RN.
- Monitor vital signs, assess for adverse events, and document changes promptly; coordinate referrals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency; participate in continuing education and mentor/orient staff as directed.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, maintain safety, and uphold infection control standards; provide care that supports adult and geriatric residents.
Requirements
- Active NY LPN license
- BLS certification (through American Heart Association or RQI)
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience; LTC experience preferred
- Experience serving in an LPN capacity in a long-term care facility
- Ability to work weekends and holidays (EOW/Holiday required)
- Demonstrated ability to care for adult and geriatric residents
