Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 06/29/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,790 per week to $1,954 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 12-hour days, 0645 to 1915. Setting: hospital medical-surgical service with potential float to other units as needed. Orientation is provided; after the first week of orientation, scheduled 36 hours per week. Arrive the Thursday before start to complete the required employee health appointment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients in medical-surgical units, including ongoing assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and IV therapy.
- Document care and routines in the Meditech EMR; update progress notes and care plans as orders evolve.
- Administer prescribed treatments, manage equipment (e.g., wound VACs, chest tubes), and operate the Pyxis medication system as required.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient/family education.
- Float to Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit as needed; maintain flexibility to cover unit needs and staffing changes.
Requirements
- Hawaii state RN license active by start of assignment.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC preferred).
- 2–10 years of RN experience in medical-surgical settings.
- Ability to float to Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit; comfortable working in a hospital setting with 12-hour day shifts.
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR; experience with Pyxis, wound VAC, and chest tubes as applicable.
