Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in adult ICU and ED, plus PICU and NICU level III as required
- Manage ventilator support, airway care, and mechanical ventilation adjustments per physician orders and protocol
- Administer inhaled medications, therapies, and secretion clearance techniques; monitor patient response
- Perform blood gas analysis, monitor trends, and adjust treatments in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record; participate in rounds and care planning
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control standards; travel assignments may involve cross-unit coverage

Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; must be RRT, not CRT
- Active license appropriate to practice in Vermont; NBRC verification required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; NRP required upon submission
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Teaching hospital experience strongly preferred
- Must be able to list NICU levels in work history; NICU level III experience required
- Weekend availability with scheduling flexibility; weekends as needed, no on-call; travel assignments may include holidays (2 of 4)
