Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Registered Nurse - PACU in Meeker, Colorado. This travel, temporary assignment is a days-shift role with 36 guaranteed hours per week, commencing 05/04/2026 for a 13-week contract in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the PACU and act as circulating RN for ortho and general surgery cases
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, including vital signs, airway management, pain control, and nausea
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; document progress in the medical record
- Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to the appropriate unit; communicate findings and plan with the surgical and anesthesia teams
- Administer medications as ordered; manage monitoring equipment and devices used in recovery
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth handoffs and timely patient progression through recovery
Requirements
- Current unrestricted Colorado RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- PACU and OR circulation skills, with experience in ortho and general surgery cases
- Ability to work in a hospital PACU setting on a day shift
- Demands that the candidate reside at least 65 miles away from the facility; local travelers will not be considered
