Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to the nursing process and established standards of care
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate with other disciplines
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in patient care
- Monitor telemetry and provide observation for post-critical cardiac patients; respond to alarms and changes in patient condition
- Manage IV therapies and cardiovascular medications as required; assist with ventilator support if applicable
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes; communicate changes to the care team timely
Requirements
- Current registered nurse license; licensure requirements as per state regulations
- Telemetry/post‑critical cardiac care experience preferred
- Ability to supervise and coordinate care for an assigned group of patients in a fast-paced unit
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a 8-week travel assignment
