Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) for a hospital setting in Atlanta, Georgia. Start date: 08/17/2026. This assignment runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed hours and a night shift schedule. Weekly pay ranges between 1,594 and 1,736 USD per week, with 36 guaranteed hours each week. Shift is Night, 12-hour shifts on a 2x3 Nights pattern. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and older adult medical-surgical patients on a 32-bed unit
- Administer and monitor therapies, including heparin drips and other acute medications as ordered
- Assess patient status, respond to changes, and participate in care planning with the interdisciplinary team
- Document care and clinical observations accurately in the unit’s electronic medical record
- Support safe patient handling, infection control, and fall/skin risk prevention; educate patients and families as appropriate
- Utilize specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment; coordinate with rehabilitation services as needed
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Documented med/surg and telemetry experience; adult and older adult populations
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and routine nursing documentation
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain flexibility for a 2x3 night schedule
- RN degree from an accredited program; NICHE training a plus
