Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging procedures with emphasis on neuroradiology, neurovascular, trauma, and interventional imaging as assigned
- Prepare patients, position them correctly, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety while maintaining image quality
- Operate imaging equipment, select appropriate exposure factors, and optimize image quality while adhering to ALARA principles
- Verify patient identity and documentation, label images accurately, and communicate urgent findings to the radiologist
- Collaborate with radiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff; support cath lab and interventional procedures when required
- Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends, as part of the assignment’s schedule
Requirements
- Certification: ARRT or RCIS
- Licensure: Massachusetts license
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Experience: 2–3 years IR imaging experience with neuro (acute stroke) and trauma scenarios; vascular imaging experience required
- Additional: Preferred Level I Trauma and Cath Lab experience
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in on-call scheduling as described
