Responsibilities
- Under physician direction, perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures, creating technically diagnostic exams for interpretation by a cardiologist or radiologist.
- Provide technically diagnostic quality exams in a timely manner to support physician interpretation.
- Assist cardiologists during invasive ultrasound procedures as needed.
- Review orders and requisitions for pertinent information, ensure correct procedures, and maintain accurate documentation for billing.
- Prepare and protect patient care areas: complete room setup, stock supplies, and assist with room turnover; maintain equipment and cleanliness.
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, staff, and physicians; participate in adherence to clinical protocols and state licensing requirements.

Requirements
- Education: Degree or certificate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAHEA) accredited sonography program.
- Certification: Cardiac ultrasound certification by ARDMS or CCI required within 12 months of graduation.
- Licenses: Maintains NH State License and appropriate credentials.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Experience: An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable; cardiac ultrasound experience preferred but not required if the above criteria are met.
- Other: Ability to work in a hospital setting and to participate in an on-call/holiday schedule as described.

- Guaranteed hours of 40 per week

- On-call schedule approximately every 5th or 6th week, plus one holiday per year (rotates); on-call/holiday swaps allowed with supervisor approval
- Orientation provided as part of onboarding (up to 16 hours, unpaid)
- Dedicated assignment support throughout the contract
