Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with invasive interventional procedures in the cath lab, including left heart cath, right heart cath, high-risk PCI, pacemaker/ICD lead placements, peripheral procedures, and structural heart cases.
- Operate and troubleshoot interventional equipment; monitor hemodynamics and assist with devices such as EMCO and EKOS as applicable.
- Prepare the cath lab for procedures, maintain sterile technique, manage patient positioning and documentation, and support post-procedure recovery care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other technologists to ensure safe, efficient case flow and accurate procedural reporting.
- Maintain equipment readiness, participate in quality improvement activities, and respond to urgent and emergent cases as part of a high-acuity team.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards; assist with patient education and discharge instructions as appropriate.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in health science or completion of an accredited technology program (CVT or Radiology).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of interventional/diagnostic cath lab experience.
- Certifications: Current BLS; AART or RCIS certification.
- Licensure: Licensure requirements per state/regulatory bodies; verify at time of application.
- Specialization: Cath lab experience with left and right heart procedures; familiarity with cardiovascular support devices and structural heart workflows is expected.
- Availability: Willingness to commit to a 16-week travel assignment; no local candidates within 50 miles will be considered.
- Environment: Ability to work in a cath lab with exposure to high-acuity patient care and complex procedures.
