Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (L&D) – Obstetrics
Location: Lamar, Colorado, United States

Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly pay: $2,586–$2,786 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am)
Setting: hospital-level obstetrics in a labor and delivery unit within a rural hospital/critical access facility

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Perform assessments, monitor labor progression, prepare for cesarean sections and inductions, and document nursing care
- Administer IV medications; adhere to infection control and OB department policies
- Deliver care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum including infant care and patient education
- Prepare delivery room, offer emotional support, and coordinate transfers as needed
- Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and mother/infant care essentials; communicate effectively in high-stress situations
- May rotate shifts and areas as staffing and census require
Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license
- CPR certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC) and ACLS within one year of employment
- Minimum of 4 years obstetrics care experience preferred
- Education: RN graduate from an approved program with current Colorado licensure
- Ability to work in a labor and delivery environment; comfortable with long shifts, physical demands, and handling potentially stressful situations
