Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse, PCU — Plattsburgh, NY. Travel assignment starting April 6, 2026 for 4 weeks on a 3x12-hour Night shift. Weekly pay range: $2,285 to $2,422. No guaranteed hours. Unit staffing includes a float team with assignment to cover patient care needs as required. This is a temporary travel position in a hospital-level PCU setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for adult patients in the PCU, including monitoring and documentation of vital signs, labs, and assessments
- Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including insulin drips and cardiac drips; initiate and manage IVs
- Manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and hemodynamic status; respond to changes in patient condition
- Support post-cardiac cath care and other complex medical procedures as part of the PCU team
- Document in the EMR (Epic) accurately and promptly; collaborate with the float team to ensure unit coverage and patient flow
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care, adhering to AHA guidelines; ensure NIHSS assessments are completed as required prior to start
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (on file)
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience
- Competency with IV starts, insulin drips, and cardiac drips; post-cardiac care experience a plus
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work in a PCU environment and participate in float coverage as needed; flexibility to work weekends on a rotating basis
