Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic X-ray examinations of patients per physician orders, including outpatients and inpatients as needed.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, shielding, and adherence to radiation safety standards; select appropriate exposure factors to optimize image quality.
- Verify image quality, repeat only when clinically warranted, and document procedures in the patient’s record.
- Prepare, process, and transfer images to the radiology information system and electronic medical record, ensuring accurate documentation and coding where applicable.
- Maintain clear communication with radiology team, technologists, and referring physicians to support efficient patient throughput and high-quality care.
- Demonstrate professionalism, patient-centered care, and sensitivity to patient comfort during imaging procedures.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Licensure/Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (R) OR for applicants without ARRT (R), current Colorado Limited Scope Operator (LSO) registration or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS); may be obtained upon hire
- Experience/Skills: Experience and registration in additional modalities preferred; EPIC/EMR experience preferred
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Eligibility: Ability to work in an outpatient/hospital setting with rotating shifts
