Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) needed for a travel temporary assignment in a corrections setting in Mount Olive, North Carolina, United States. Start date June 1, 2026 for a 13-week contract with guaranteed 35 hours per week. Shift: 08:00–16:30. Weekly pay range: $1,401–$1,506. Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Implement treatment plans and therapeutic activities tailored to each patient, adapting as needed to progress toward goals.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising OT and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with initial evaluations and re-evaluations as assigned, contributing to treatment planning discussions.
- Ensure safety, privacy, and infection control practices; maintain and sanitize therapy spaces and equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing and security staff, to coordinate care and ensure safe, effective interventions.
- Communicate clearly with patients and staff to support continuity of care and adherence to goals.
Requirements
- Active COTA license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Graduation from an accredited OTA program (associate degree) and current COTA certification.
- Ability to work in a corrections environment and comply with facility policies and security requirements.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship at this time.
