Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver patient care for ICU patients across applicable age groups.
- Monitor patient status, administer treatments and medications, and escalate as needed per unit standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record with accuracy and privacy in mind.
- Maintain safety and infection control practices; support quality improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families; align with unit and organizational mission and RCHEA guidelines.
Requirements
- Active nursing license in California (RN)
- ICU nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (36 hours per week)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and routine clinical documentation
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
