Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of clinical laboratory testing across core areas (e.g., hematology, chemistry, microbiology) following standard operating procedures.
- Prepare, process, and analyze specimens, ensuring specimen integrity, correct labeling, and proper aliquoting as required.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments; execute quality control and proficiency testing; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Accurately document results and review critical values for timely clinician notification within EPIC and CERNER electronic medical record systems.
- Monitor quality indicators, participate in safety and compliance activities, and support process improvements in a travel setting.
- Participate in on-call rotation (weekly 03:30–05:30) as part of shift responsibilities, and communicate effectively with clinical teams regarding test utilization and turnaround times.
Requirements
- Active California license as a Medical Technologist (or equivalent MT license)
- EPIC and CERNER experience required
- Ability to work a travel assignment with 4x10-hour shifts and weekly on-call rotation
- Authorized to work in the United States
