Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including routine assessments, monitoring, and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, verify orders, and monitor for adverse reactions or changes in patient status.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, supports mobility and daily hygiene, and help maintain nutritional and hydration needs.
- Perform routine nursing procedures, wound care as indicated, and monitor vital signs with prompt reporting of significant changes to the supervising nurse.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, participate in care planning, and communicate clearly during shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care and safety.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
- Ability to work in a long-term care / skilled nursing setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills; proficiency with electronic health records
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) on a three-day-per-week schedule
