Registered Nurse – Infusion, traveling assignment in the Outpatient Infusion Unit. Start date: 09/28/2026. Duration: 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,566 to $2,706 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Responsibilities
- Administer outpatient infusion chemotherapy and related therapies to adult and geriatric patients in the infusion unit
- Monitor patient status during infusions, respond to adverse reactions, manage IV access, and ensure infusion safety
- Administer medications and chemotherapy with attention to safety protocols and infection control
- Operate infusion-related equipment and systems: Alaris pumps, elastomeric pumps, Omnicell, glucometer; document accurately
- Document treatment and observations in the electronic medical record (EPIC); communicate with the care team via appropriate channels (Ascom)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (oncology, neurology, hematology, and nursing) to coordinate care and provide patient education
- Float to related areas as needed; assist with blood product administration according to unit policy; maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in outpatient infusion nursing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and chemotherapy certification
- Ability to work in an outpatient infusion unit with adults and geriatric patients
- Proficiency with EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, and glucometer; experience with Alaris pumps and elastomeric pumps
- Comfort with blood product administration and working in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and chemotherapy handling guidelines
