Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Overview
This is a travel RN position for a Med Surg unit in a metro Atlanta hospital. The assignment begins July 6, 2026 and runs for eight weeks with guaranteed hours. Weekly pay ranges from $1,592 to $1,637. The shift pattern is 2x3 nights. The unit cares for oncology, step-down, and high-acuity sickle cell patients, requiring strong clinical judgment and teamwork. A chemo credential is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg unit, including assessment, monitoring, and therapeutic interventions for a mixed acuity population (oncology, step-down, sickle cell) as assigned
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, including chemotherapy when credentialed and within approved protocols
- Develop and execute care plans, perform ongoing reassessments, and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team for admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient education
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure safety, infection control, and quality standards are maintained
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license (Georgia) with Nursys verification
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience in a similar-size hospital setting
- Chemo certification preferred
- Ability to work nights in a 2x3 schedule
- Experience with oncology, step-down, or sickle cell patient care is preferred
- No time-off requests (RTO) during the assignment
