Travel Registered Nurse Cath Lab Job
Registered Nurse – Cath Lab travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Rotating shifts with an expected 40 hours per week and on-call responsibilities. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in an interventional/cardiac/vascular lab, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures (IR, vascular, cardiac) and patient safety throughout the peri-procedural period.
- Assist with hemodynamic monitoring, pacemaker and IABP insertions, and post-procedure recovery, applying specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography and related procedures.
- Maintain procedural readiness: documentation in Meditech EMR, continuous monitoring with Sensis, and operation of Siemens equipment; coordinate labs and imaging support as needed.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of imaging and diagnostic modalities, including Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Integrate with a 4-person on-call team; participate in a call schedule (1–2 days per week) and on-call coverage that includes holidays.
- Bring at least 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab to this assignment, and maintain compliance with BLS certification and unit standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab
- BLS certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures
- Ability to apply specialized nursing skills for patients undergoing angiography, cardiac cath, pacemaker and IABP procedures, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR documentation
- Willingness to participate in on-call and rotating shift requirements
