Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Develop and implement plans of care for ICU patients, including ongoing assessment, monitoring of vital signs, and timely escalation of clinical changes.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, document care accurately, and communicate patient status effectively to the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and ancillary services to ensure continuity of care and achievement of patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- ICU nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity ICU setting
- Eligible to work in the United States and meet the assignment start date and duration
