Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and overall status
- Administer medications and IV therapies per orders; perform frequent assessments and document findings in the electronic medical record (Cerner experience is preferred)
- Respond to telemetry alarms and evolving events; initiate rapid assessment and escalate to the physician as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; document changes and ensure continuity of care
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, assist with procedures, discharge planning, and transfers as appropriate; may float to ED hold, ICU/PCU, or other campus units as assigned
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a Compact state at submission; NH or Compact license required
- NURSYS license verification showing active RN licenses
- Minimum 3 years of Telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NHISS credentialing needed prior to start
- Passing score of 80% on a on onboarding dysrhythmia examination
- EMR experience; Cerner preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a hospital telemetry setting; may float to ED hold, ICU/PCU, or other units as needed
