Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a telemetry-focused medical-surgical unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret rhythms as needed, and respond to dysrhythmias per protocol after completion of required testing
- Administer medications and IV therapies, monitor effects, and document in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the care team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; perform accurate handoffs and patient/family education
- Float as needed to related units based on division needs, maintaining appropriate patient ratios (approximately 1:3 to 1:4)

Requirements
- Current Kansas registered nurse license
- BLS certification
- Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
- Successful completion of the dysrhythmia test or approved equivalent; ongoing competency as part of credentialing
- Ability to work nights and to float to related inpatient units as needed
- Credentialing requirements: CBC, drug screen, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
