Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel) in Utica, NY. Start date 05/04/2026 for multiple weeks. Weekly pay range $2,142-$2,274 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift pattern: 2x3 days. Work setting: emergency department in a high-volume, fast-paced care environment. This assignment supports cross- coverage in a dynamic ED with adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across the ED spectrum for newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Perform rapid patient assessment, monitor vital signs, and initiate emergent interventions as orders authorize
- Administer medications and therapies, manage IV therapy, and coordinate diagnostic testing
- Document care in the electronic medical record (EPIC), communicate with physicians, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Recognize and respond to critical conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Support patient flow and disposition decisions, including coordination with ancillary services and units as needed
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to ED protocols; assist with triage and throughput as required
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS verification showing an ACTIVE NY license and all RN licenses
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS and TNCC preferred/current
- Minimum 2+ years of ED experience; pediatrics experience encouraged; documented travel experience preferred
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Floating capability required; ability to work across ED subareas as needed
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (leave) must be requested and included at submission
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program; eligible for RN licensure in NY
