This travel nursing role places you on a general medical unit within Medical Specialties/Acute Inpatient. The unit comprises 32 beds with a mix of medical diagnoses, and you may float to other MS areas as needed. The shift is nights, with a typical RN-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on nights; you may be asked to care for up to 8 patients when required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a general medical unit, focusing on common Med/Surg conditions and multi-diagnosis patients
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient status, and document changes accurately
- Conduct IV therapies and line management; assist with vascular access as appropriate
- Operate and monitor equipment (IV pumps, bladder scanners, lifts, beds, O2, CPAP, HEPA-related devices)
- Support airway management with CPAP/BiPAP capabilities; assist with feeding tubes and wound care as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, ensure patient safety, and participate in float adjustments to other MS areas as needed
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning as appropriate

Requirements
- Experience on a general medical unit with multiple medications and a safety-first approach
- Willingness to float to other Medical Specialties areas as needed
- Ability to manage up to 8 patients when required (note: nightly ratio often 1:6; not guaranteed)
- Shift availability for nights (1900-0730)
- Current CEU documentation required to be provided during the interview process
