Travel Registered Nurse Electrophysiology Job
SMH RN EP — Electrophysiology Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. This travel, temporary assignment starts on 04/13/2026 for a Weeks duration. Weekly pay ranges from $2,694 to $2,845 per week, with 12-hour shifts. The role supports an EP program in a clinical EP setting with primarily daytime hours, occasional late nights and on-call; holidays may be required, but weekends are not currently required.

Responsibilities
- Support diagnostic and interventional EP procedures and related interventions (e.g., EP studies, RF and Cryo ablations, device implants such as pacemakers and ICDs, leadless systems, Watchman/Amulet) in the EP lab, along with mapping and literature-driven data collection.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, monitor procedural readouts, assist with data interpretation, and communicate issues to the physician team.
- Serve at the sterile field as the circulator, assist with pacing implementations, and help calibrate and manage ablation catheters; maintain sterile technique and fluids as needed.
- Maintain readiness of EP lab equipment (e.g., mapping systems) and coordinate with anesthesia, MDs, and in-room staff; support room turnover and timely starts.
- Document procedures in Epic, assist with anesthesia documentation, and provide backup pacing during implants as required.
- Collaborate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to ensure all team members and supplies are available for scheduled procedures; contribute to safe, patient-focused care.
Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse license (RN)
- 2 years of EP lab or electrophysiology-focused experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficient in moderate sedation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced EP lab environment and communicate effectively with physicians and staff
- Epic experience or proficiency in clinical documentation is required
