Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for NICU patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion to plan and implement patient care.
- For Float Pool assignments, clock in to the unit being worked and contribute to unit staffing needs as required.
- Document care provided, monitor patient status, administer medications per policy, and maintain safety and infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families and the multidisciplinary care team to update care plans and address changing needs.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license (state of practice) and ability to practice in California; licensure requirements to be verified during onboarding.
- NICU experience preferred; travel experience and ability to adapt to diverse care settings are desirable.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with current RN competencies.
- Ability to work in a home healthcare – hospice environment and to follow established standards of care.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and to work a 3x12-hour shift pattern.
