Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations with OB/GYN and Abdominal designation, ensuring high-quality imaging and proper technique
- Prepare patient data and enter imaging findings into the Epic EMR accurately and timely
- Operate ultrasound equipment, select appropriate transducers, adjust exposure and imaging settings for optimal results
- Assess patient condition, ensure safety and comfort, apply sterile technique and equipment cleaning between patients
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to communicate findings and coordinate follow-up imaging as needed
- Maintain documentation, coding, and adherence to department protocols and quality standards
Requirements
- RDMS certification with OB/GYN and Abdominal designation
- Active BLS certification
- Epic EMR experience
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program
- 2+ years of ultrasound experience in a high-volume environment; new graduates not considered
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic setting and meet shift expectations
