Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care for Med Surg patients following the nursing process.
- Collect relevant data, perform assessments, identify care needs, develop and implement a plan, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Coordinate care with the health care team, supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, and ensure safe, patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other clinicians; participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
- Document care and interventions in the electronic health record (EPIC) and advocate for patient safety, comfort, and education.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (Oregon) or eligible in the state of assignment
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience; Med Surg experience preferred
- BLS or Basic Life Support certification from an approved vendor; CPR certification or equivalent required
- Facility-specific BLS: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required
- EPIC experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and meet assignment needs
- Vaccination requirements per policy and employment regulations
