Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment; perform at least three modalities regularly
- Support department objectives and maintain a safe, patient-centered imaging environment; ensure high-quality images and appropriate radiation dose
- Safely transport and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs; assist with patient positioning and comfort
- Test defibrillator function and check the crash cart; participate in emergency readiness as needed
- Prepare and administer contrast agents for imaging procedures; follow safety and protocol guidelines
- Perform mobile imaging examinations as required and document results in accordance with department standards
Requirements
- Radiologic Technology license in the state of practice (CA) or equivalent as applicable
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) certification; CA and HI requirements apply
- Current certification in one radiology modality with ability to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality (CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, or PET) as applicable in CA/HI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred; Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; three years preferred
- Ability to work in a Short Term Acute Care setting and meet assignment requirements
