Responsibilities
- Provide direct professional nursing care to individuals within a corrections environment per established protocols
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, document findings, and participate in care planning
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; maintain accurate medication administration records
- Respond to clinical needs and emergencies; coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely care
- Document care activities and observations in the electronic health record; uphold safety and security procedures
- Communicate clearly with patients, facility staff, and supervisors to support continuity of care and patient safety
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license to practice in the United States
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work in a corrections facility environment and follow facility protocols
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Willingness to work the stated shift and travel assignment; available to start on 05/18/2026
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as part of the employment process
